This is the first published book-length study of Orson Welles' final film, The Other Side of the Wind, which was completed and released in 2018, over 40 years after shooting wrapped, and 33 years after Welles' death. The author argues that the film redeems the reputation of Welles' late period, providing an equivalently provocative, experimental and inspiring bookend to his first film, Citizen Kane.
